See Jesus

A Study in the book of Mark

I know that life is crazy right now and our world is a sad mess, but that just makes me want to get back to Women's Bible Study all the more. I need my mind recentered daily so that I see Jesus as bigger than everything around me that is filling my mind and heart with anxiety, fear, and frustration. 

This year we are going to be studying the life of Jesus through the book of Mark. Mark wrote this book to Christians who also lived in a world of turmoil. Here is how he starts, "The beginning of the gospel about Jesus Christ, the Son of God." Because of that gospel each day can be a new beginning, where we understand more deeply the way of the cross and certainty of his resurrection.  After 34 years of studying the Bible, you would think that I wouldn't need to be reminded of these things, but the truth is that I am more needy than ever. How about you?
